Wellest Integrative Health is a holistic wellness practice owned by sisters Melissa and Molly Hines. We caught up with Melissa, who also teaches workshops at Little Lovage Club, to learn more about the practice and how she helps south end moms.
Melissa specializes in women’s health and pelvic floor physical therapy, specifically in pregnancy and postpartum. She started the practice with her sister 2 years ago after she moved back to Boston from Washington, DC and realized there were not many women’s health/pelvic floor physical therapists or myofascial release therapists in the Boston area.
Primarily working with pregnant and postpartum clients, she works with women suffering from back, hip, pelvic pain, diastasis recti (abdominal separation), pubic symphysis dysfunction, urinary incontinence/leakage, prolapse, constipation, menstrual pain, irregular periods, fertility, painful intercourse, c-section scar tissue and perineal tearing. Melissa is able to fix all those uncomfortable symptoms of pregnancy that don’t always go away as quickly as you would like– in a natural way.
Melissa wants to be a voice for women’s health concerns and loves to be able to change a woman’s life through pelvic floor physical therapy. Her goal is to make pelvic floor rehabilitation a part of pregnancy and postpartum care so that women do not have to live with these debilitating health issues post baby.
Wellest Integrative Health offers one-on-one, hour long physical therapy treatments as well as integrative nutrition consults to help shake the baby weight!
